Air Condenser is commonly referred to as the outside system in split HVAC System. The higher the SEER (seasonal energy efficiency rating) the lower the energy consumption which increases long term savings and helps to lower your energy prices.
What is a Condenser?
WHAT IS SEER RATING?
The SEER rating, measures your HVAC system’s energy efficiency by calculating the cooling output divided by the amount of electric energy input. The higher the SEER rating, the greater energy efficiency of your HVAC system. This measurement applies to a normal cooling season.

WHY IS SEER RATING IMPORTANT?
Locate the white or yellow label on your HVAC or heat pump system. This label is the Energy Guide tag that lists the SEER rating of your unit. A SEER rating lets you know how efficient your current HVAC system should be or how efficient it will be after installation. The purpose of a SEER rating is to help homeowners save money.

All HVAC system's have a SEER rating. Which will range from a numeric number of 10 to 27. Now all new HVAC systems being installed today in our area are currently required to have a SEER rating of 14 or higher. The rating you need is dependent on how much money you want to spend on your new HVAC or Heat Pump system.

Basically the higher the SEER rating means, the more efficient the HVAC system is and the more it will cost compared to that with a lower SEER rating.
